Why Not to Abandon an Old Proxy Newsletter

This article is guest posted by Leon of the Ultimate Proxy Guide. The Ultimate Proxy Guide is a 63 page complete eBook on setting up, running, and monetizing a proxy and network. Leon also runs the Anonymode Proxy Network.

All proxy network owners think about getting lots of money and visitors for their proxies. They spend lots of time and money advertising, and spend even more money constantly buying new domains to substitute for banned proxies. Then, they need to spend even more money on servers for all of these proxies.

Now, as long as you’re making a profit off of your proxies, then that is fine. But what happens when you finally decide your finished? Either you no longer have the time, you don’t have the money, or you’ve simply lost interest. You’re sick of constantly making new proxies, only to have them banned.

However, you can’t just leave your proxy network lying there! If you get somewhere, you’ve probably gotten a pretty big list of subscribers, and they are just waiting for you to send them new proxies!

Do you want to promote your proxy to over 3000 users for FREE?

I currently own a proxy yahoo group with over 3000 members; it can be found by clicking here. The group has 90% users from the USA.

I’m going to send your proxy in a mail (#1), if you add this code to your proxy:

Code:
<form method="get"
      action="http://groups.yahoo.com/subscribe/HotProxies"
      style="background-color: #ffc; width: 254px; padding: 2px 4px">
  <h2 style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 5px; text-align: center">
      Subscribe to HotProxies</h2>
  <input style="vertical-align: top"
      type="text"
      name="user"
      value="type.your@email.here"
      size="20" />
  <input type="image" alt="Click to join HotProxies"
      name="Click to join HotProxies"
      src="http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/yg/img/i/us/ui/join.gif" />
  <p style="text-align: center;">
  Powered by <a href="http://www.proxb.com/">Proxy Sites</a></p>
</form>

You only need to have this code on your proxy for 24 hours. I won’t ask more!

Rules:
- The code must be visible directly when I visit your site (so not completely at the bottom where nobody looks).
- Don’t change the hotproxies subscribe link to your group, I will check all proxies first before sending them in an email

This is it, so what now?
1) Add the code to your proxy
2) Send your proxy to me via email (aquarezz[AT]hotmail[DOT]com
3) You will receive an email back from me within 24 hours
4) You will get a BIG traffic boost from the mail I send out
5) You can cash BIG TIME by the advertisements on your proxy

Let the free mails begin! You can participate with multiple proxies, though, only 5 proxies per user per month allowed.
Have fun!

How to prevent filters from blocking your proxy?

Keep Reading ...

In this article, I’m going to talk about how you can prevent filters from blocking your proxy. But it’s a fact that it will be blocked once. I will not talk about:
- First have a grocery site on it for 3 years and than a proxy
- Hacking those filters, to get your proxy out

So if that is clear, I’m going to list a few points which you need to prevent using on your proxies. As I’m not an employee at Websense or whatever filter, don’t see this information as 100% truthfull as it isn’t, but I’m doing my best to help whatever I can. (Click read more to read info about these points)

  • Prevent using the word proxy on your page
  • Don’t use proxy in your domain name
  • Buy a dedicated IP
  • Don’t have more than 25 outbound links
  • Some more censored words
  • Don’t submit to proxy lists

Designers, beware of bandwidth

Keep Reading ...

There are some proxy theme designers, who design and code their layouts, and afterwards they let the users also surf through their site. A lot of websites get the ’suspended due to bandwidth’ notice fast. That’s why it is better to redirect traffic that is willing to use the browse.php page.

This can easily be done by adding the following code on the top of the browse.php file:
<?
header(’Location: http://site-here.com/theme-name/’);
exit;
?>

This will redirect all users that are willing to visit the browse page, to the template they’re on!

This is a simple way of preventing bandwidth on your themes site, but just make sure you don’t forget it.

Little Contest: POTW, TOTW, MOTW…

Keep Reading ...

ProxBlog.Com has only an age of one day, though I’m trying to make something apart from all those other proxy blogs. Up to now, I posted a POTW (Proxy Of The Week). I will post a POTW every Sunday. Though I think it would be cooler if there would be more weekly habits like:
- Theme of the week
- Monetizer of the week

I would like to have a daily habit too, so every Sunday there will be a Proxy Of The Week, every tuesday a Theme of the week and every thursday a Monetizer of the week.

Though this means there are still 4 days where nothing is posted. If you can think about some stuff, please leave a comment..

The persons with the best ideas will get a domain from me, please in your comment leave which domain you would like to win. You can choose between the following ones:
- SceneBlog.Org / 2009/10/25
- ProxPoint.Info / 2009/12/22
- Cewl.Us / 2010/03/13

Good luck and thanks for commenting in advance!

Glype.Com Has Been Sold

Some people heard it already, it is true, Glype.Com has been sold. Nick was probably tired from all the bug reports posted on the forum. The new owner is named Jason, and his profile on Glype.com can be found here. He already said we don’t have to fear about the project being stopped, he even posted that he is busy creating Glype 2.0!

Some websites he made:
http://www.communityseo.com
http://www.invisionize.com
http://firewallscript.com

I’m sure he is a good guy who will improve Glype a lot. The Proxy Blog wishes you the best Jason!

[POTW] SurfAll.Org

Keep Reading ...

Like mentioned on the about page, I will announce 1 proxy weekly that I think is good structured. Since I didn’t got hold of them yet, I will promote one of my own / best proxy sites first.

Link: SurfAll.Org
Age: 2 months
Hosted at: TechEntrance.Com

Why this proxy?
The ad-placement is well placed, people are more likely to click on the left side, than on the right side, though on the right side we created a little advertisement that benefits us too (get the best out of your proxies).

It is fast, which makes the proxy even better. It’s a nice clean orange webpage which I definately like, browsing goes well too.

One big thing I like about this proxy, as it’s never been promoted via proxy lists (apart from ProxB & Tech-Faq), though it’s one of my best proxies I currently own (Average of 750/1000 unique visitors daily).

Hopefully you’ve learned something from this proxy, as that’s what I am doing… Checking out new proxies to find new tricks I can try.

Hi dear reader,
Welcome on this new blog about proxies, I am Aquarezz and I’ve been in proxy business for over 4 years. I saw a lot of proxy blogs, but most are dead or have the same stuff over and over again.

I’m going to try to post a lot on this blog and hopefully it intrests most of you. If you got any ideas about what I can post, please leave a comment, I’m sure I can help you!

I’ll be analysing a lot of stuff so you people don’t have to. One tip I will post a lot is just something I always tell the newbies: “Keep it simple, and browse your proxy 10 minutes first before you release it”
If you did what I say, I’m sure your proxy will get you more traffic and money!

If you want some more personal info about me, go to the ‘about‘ page.

Greetz,
Aquarezz
